We have been busy planning a rich and amazing curriculum for our students including considerations for the Spring Performance Block and bringing more children into our Program for that event:
Siddhartha: The Life of Gautama Buddha
It is an exceptional piece with choreography and original music by and with Meagan Chandler*,
Fine and Practical Arts with Johannah Reimer,* and a sprinkle of me here, there, and all about…….
Besides the children’s offering, the parents are welcome to join in any or all of our adult offerings: choir, two parent meetings, and Sage’s High Teaching where she will speak to the deeper mysteries and teachings of this amazing story and how it applies to our lives here and now.
I find this quote by Thich Nhat Hanh to be very inspiring and relevant to our community strivings:
It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual.
The next Buddha may take the form of a community
A community practicing understanding and loving kindness.
A community practicing mindful living.
This may be the most important thing we can do for the Earth.
