I have spent almost my entire life immersed in Waldorf education. I attended two Waldorf schools while growing up and loved my time in both of them. Both of my parents are trained Waldorf teachers and our home was and still is full of the beauty and rhythms that are so intrinsic to the Waldorf philosophy.
In 10th grade, I had the opportunity to volunteer at a school, high in the Himalayas mountains, in India. It was a transformative experience and after returning home I joined a group that worked with the United Nations advocating children’s rights. I traveled and worked with this group for two years, finishing high school on the road.
I attended Naropa University where I studied one of my great loves, writing. While at school I facilitated weekly girls groups where we focused on dance and writing but mostly just connecting and being together.
After I had my son in 2008 I became more interested in early childhood education and took an assistant position at Kinder-heart in 2016-2019. In 2020 I took over the lead teacher position in the kinder-heart program. I find so much joy and fulfillment in getting to spend my days with the amazing children and families who are here with us. I feel a deep commitment to seeing and nurturing the wonder and goodness that is each child. It is a great honor that families send their children to spend their days with us here in our very beautiful classroom on this magical property.
